Gira Mundo – Goal 4

The Gira Mundo Global Goal was created at AIESEC in Belo Horizonte willing to inform kids and teenagers about the UN 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, to tell them about what already happens in the world and teach them how each one of us can help to make a change, on daily acts. The volunteers will work at NGOs and schools from Belo Horizonte, with kids from 4 to 18 years old.

The goals are shared among 5 basic topics: 1 – Sustentability 2 – Cultural diversity and tolerance 3 – Environment 4 – Entrepeurneurship 5 – Humam rights

As a volunteer, you will:

• Work in a team of international volunteers to plan and deliver creative workshops to children.
• Engage the public in your topics
• Attend the trainings and Incoming Preparation Seminar provided by AIESEC
• Represent your home country in the AIESEC Global Village
• Before arriving, research about the goals and the reality of these issues in Brazil and in the world, and think about ways to teach the kids about it (movies, texts, stories, classes with power point presentations…) and also think of how they can make the kids see what they can do daily to help the world: save water, respect each other, recicle, etc.

• Before your pr0ject starts , AIESEC will deliver training to help prepare you for your role and life in Brazil
• Brazil has a partnership with AsistCard who will provide you with a quality and affordable option for international health insurance
• Transport: AIESEC will pick you up at airport, but transport to work will not be provided
• Visa: Varies
• Housing and Food: Both provided (1 meal)
